October 25 – The Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company data breach resulted in the names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medical information and insurance information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Montana, Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On August 23, 2023, Guarantee Trust Life detected suspicious activity within an employee’s email account. The company secured its email environment and then launched an investigation which confirmed that an unauthorized party gained access to the employee’s email account on July 12, 2023. On October 23, 2023, Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company sent out data breach letters to those individuals 
whose information was affected by the breach.
