Kyocera AVX Data Breach 2023

November 10 – The Kyocera AVX Components Corporation (“Kyocera”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Kyocera AVX data breach resulted in the names and Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 39,111 individuals.

What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Maine, Kyocera AVX reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 30, 2023, Kyocera was the target of a cyberattack that targeted some of the company’s servers in Greenville and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. As a result, portions of Kyocera’s computer network were encrypted. The company launched an investigation into the incident and confirmed that an unauthorized party gained access to, and removed information from, certain systems between February 16, 2023 and March 30, 2023. On Data Breach AlertOctober 30, 2023, Kyocera AVX sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
