November 18 – The North Mississippi Health Services data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at Cadence Bank. The North Mississippi Health Services data breach resulted in the names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, health insurance information, medical information, treatment information, billing and claims information, and financial account information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a news article, North Mississippi Health Services reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at Cadence Bank. On June 1, 2023, Cadence Bank was informed that the MOVEit file transfer application created by Progress Software, suffered from a zero-day vulnerability. The company implemented all available patches to limit the impact and launched an investigation. On June 28, 2023, the investigation confirmed that an unauthorized exploits the MOVEit vulnerability, giving them access to information that was stored within the Cadence Bank’s MOVEit server between May 28, 2023 and May 31, 2023. On October 27, 2023, North Mississippi Health Services sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information 
was affected by the breach.
