November 17 – The PeakMed Colorado, LLC data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The PeakMed Colorado data breach resulted in the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, medical record numbers, financial account information, payment card information, electronic signatures, medical information and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 27,800 individuals.
According to a notice posted on their website, PeakMed Colorado reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On August 30, 2023, PeakMed became aware of suspicious activity within its computer network. The company reset all employee passwords and then launched an investigation that confirmed that an unauthorized party had obtained access to an employee’s credentials and logged into the PeakMed system between July 24, 2023 and August 30, 2023. On October 27, 2023, PeakMed Colorado sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
