October 20 – The PennyMac Loan Services LLC data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The PennyMac Loan Services data breach resulted in the names, addresses, Social Security numbers and financial account information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Texas, PennyMac Loan Services reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The incident involved an unauthorized party being able to access certain files that contained information consumers had provided to PennyMac. However, at this time it is not confirmed whether hackers targeted PennyMac’s system. Hackers 
possibly orchestrated the attack against a PennyMac vendor that had been provided the information by PennyMac. On October 19, 2023, PennyMac Loan Services sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
PennyMac Loan Services LLC is a financial services company based out of Moorpark, California whose primary business is in the origination and servicing of residential mortgages. PennyMac operates 16 sales offices across the United States, including in Florida, Texas, Tennessee, California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Arizona.
