October 24 – The Progressive Leasing data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Progressive Leasing data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, and email addresses of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 193,055 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Progressive Leasing reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On September 11, 2023, Progressive Leasing experienced a cyberattack impacting portions of its IT network. The company began working with cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident which is still ongoing. However, Progressive Leasing has determined that the unauthorized party first gained access to its system on September 9, 2023, where they were able to access files containing confidential consumer information. On 
October 23, 2023, Progressive Leasing sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Progressive Leasing is a finance company based out of Draper, Utah. The company is a provider of lease-purchase solutions through more than 30,000 retail partner locations in 46 states and the District of Columbia, including e-commerce merchants.
