December 1 – The Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City (“PAKC”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The PAKC data breach involved a “Hacking/IT Incident” of a network server. An unauthorized party may have specifically sought out information that was provided to PAKC’s possession. At this time, information is still limited. Once Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City completes their investigation, they will be required to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
