December 2 – The Staples, Inc. data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack.
According to a news article, Staples reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On November 27, 2023, Staples’ cybersecurity team identified a cyber security risk and took steps to reduce the impact of the attack and protect customer data. This led to a “temporary disruption” to the company’s backend processing, delivery capabilities, customer service centers and communication channels. However, all Staples stores remained open, but some online orders are experiencing delays. The company has yet to confirm if any data was compromised. However, Staples will be required to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach if their investigation confirms consumer information was breached.
