December 6 – The Tipalti, Inc. data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack.
According to various news articles, Tipalti reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent ransomware attack. The ALPHV ransomware gang has claimed to have breached Tipalti’s network and stolen 256GB of data. As of December 4, 2023, Tipalti claimed that it had not received any communication from a threat actor. However, this may be because ALPHV is claiming to be trying out a new strategy where they disclose the attack to the public first instead of notifying the company. Tipalti’s investigation is still ongoing but if they are able to confirm that consumer information was compromised, the company will be required to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
