October 28 – The Tri Counties Bank data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Tri Counties Bank data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, medical information, health insurance information, dates of birth, and mother’s maiden names of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 74,385 individuals.
According to a notice on their website, Tri Counties Bank reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On or around February 7, 2023, Tri Counties Bank learned of suspicious activity within its computer network. The company shut down portions of its system, notified law enforcement, and launched an investigation. The Tri Counties Bank investigation confirmed that, between February 7, 2023 and February 8, 2023, an unauthorized party may have been able to access portions of the company’s network containing sensitive information related to customers and employees. On October 12, 2023 and November 22, 2023, Tri Counties Bank sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
