November 20 – The Wyoming County Community Health System (“WCCHS”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Wyoming County Community Health System data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification numbers, dates of birth, biometric data, medical information and health insurance information, and account numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 24,016 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Wyoming County Community Health System reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 28, 2023, WCCHS experienced a network disruption. The company launched an investigation that confirmed that some files on its computer network may have been accessed and copied by an unauthorized party. After learning that sensitive consumer data was compromised, Wyoming County Community Health System reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On November 16, 2023, Wyoming County Community Health System sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the 
breach.

WCCHS is a health system comprising a 62-bed acute-care hospital with a 138-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw, NY, which provides 24-hour emergency care as well as specialty health care services, such as internal medicine, orthopedics and podiatry, women’s health.
