July 4 – The Datasite data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent third party cyber security attack at Progress Software. The Datasite data breach resulted in the names and Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised. At this time, it is unclear how many individuals were affected.
According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, Datasite reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent third party cyber security attack at Progress Software. The unauthorized party that carried out the MOVEit data breach listed Datasite as one of their victims. Although it cannot be confirmed, this may be one of the many data breaches involving the MOVEit files transfer software created by Progress Software. On June 27, 2023, Datasite reported the data breach and may begin sending out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
