June 27 – The Desert Physicians Management data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The Desert Physicians Management data breach resulted in the names, addresses, dates of birth, health insurance information, and clinical information, such as diagnoses, treatment information, and medication information of certain individuals being compromised. At this time, it is unclear how many individuals were affected by the breach.
According to the Attorney General of California, Desert Physicians Management reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On April 23, 2023, DPM detected suspicious activity in its computer network. The company launched an investigation and on May 18, 2023, determined that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to the company’s network and access confidential files. On June 22, 2023, Desert Physicians Management sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach. Specifically, Desert Physicians Management sent letters to patients of Choice Physicians Network/Choice Medical Group, Choice Healthcare Associates, and Horizon Valley Medical Group.
