December 6 – The Elixir RX Solutions, OrthoNebraska, and OSF HealthCare System data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at Welltok. It is believed to have impacted as many as 931,316 patients. According to the Attorney General of Maine, Elixir RX Solutions, OrthoNebraska, and OSF HealthCare System reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at Welltok. On July 26, 2023, Welltok learned that its MOVEit server had allegedly been compromised. Although the company had previously installed all patches and security upgrades, they launched an investigation. It confirmed on August 11, 2023, that an unauthorized party was able to access the company’s MOVEit server on May 30, 2023. Welltok also confirmed that the unauthorized party removed certain data from the company’s MOVEit server, including information belonging to patients of Elixir RX Solutions, OrthoNebraska, and OSF HealthCare System. On December 4, 2023, Elixir RX Solutions, OrthoNebraska, and OSF HealthCare System sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
