June 12 – The EpiSource LLC data breach is being investigated by the data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. The data breach was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The EpiSource data breach resulted in the names, dates of birth, addresses, phone numbers, medical record numbers, health plan ID numbers, provider information, diagnoses and medications of certain individuals being compromised. It is still unknown how many individuals have been affected.
According to the Attorney General of California, EpiSource LLC reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. An unauthorized party was able to gain access to the company’s Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) environment between February 19, 2023 and February 23, 2023 where they accessed confidential consumer data. On June 2, 2023, EpiSource sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
