July 21 – The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (“Estée Lauder”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Estée Lauder data breach resulted in the confidential information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to an article posted on the Bleeping Computer, Estée Lauder reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Estée Lauder recently identified a cyber security incident after an unauthorized party was able to gain access to a portion of the company’s computer network. The company launched an investigation that is still ongoing. However, the company notes that, “based on the current status of the investigation, Estée Lauder believes the unauthorized party obtained some data from its systems.” Estée Lauder will send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
