The First Choice Dental data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a website notice posted on their website, the First Choice Dental data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On October 22, 2023, the company learned that it was the victim of a cybersecurity incident prompting them to secure their systems and launch an investigation. The investigation is still ongoing; however, the company notes that an unauthorized party may have been able to access portions of its network containing confidential patient information. First Choice Dental will be required to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach if they confirm that information was compromised.
