August 30 – The F21 OpCo LLC d/b/a Forever 21 (“Forever 21”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Forever 21 data breach resulted in the names and Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 539,207 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Forever 21 reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On August 4, 2023, Forever 21 discovered a potential cybersecurity issue. The company launched an investigation and confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access confidential information that had been provided to the company. The period of unauthorized access was between January 5, 2023 and March 21, 2023. On August 29, 2023, Forever 21 sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
