September 28 – The Francesca’s Acquisition, LLC data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. According to the Attorney General of Maine, Francesca’s Acquisition reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On January 31, 2023, Francesca’s experienced a potential network disruption. The company secured its system and then began an investigation. On August 8, 2023, Francesca’s confirmed that certain information stored on its systems was accessible by an unauthorized party. Subsequently, Francesca’s determined that some of the files that were compromised contained confidential consumer information. On September 25, 2023, Francesca’s Acquisition sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Francesca’s Acquisition, LLC is a subsidiary of Francesca’s Holdings Corporation, which is a retail company based in Houston, Texas. Francesca’s focuses on providing fashion apparel, jewelry, accessories, and gifts, with a target audience of women between the ages of 18 and 35. Francesca’s operates 457 stores in 45 states, as well as an e-commerce website that receives approximately 20 million visitors each year.
