According to the Attorney General of California, the Gerber Life Insurance data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. WebTPA provides administrative services to Gerber Life Insurance Company. On December 23, 2023, the company experienced unusual activity within its computer network prompting WebTPA to secure its systems and launch an investigation. WebTPA confirmed that an unauthorized actor may have accessed or acquired personal information belonging to Gerber Life customers between April 18, 2023 and April 23, 2023. On April 26, 2024, WebTPA sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
Gerber Life Insurance Company is an insurance company based out of Fremont, Michigan that offers budget-friendly life insurance options for adults and children.
WebTPA Employer Services, LLC is a third-party administrator based out of Irving, Texas that creates custom health plans for employers that are designed to lower health plan costs while providing competitive benefits. The company also provides administrative services.
