August 9 – The Hospitality Staffing Solutions data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Hospitality Staffing Solutions data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, financial account information and driver’s license numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 104,660 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Hospitality Staffing Solutions reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On June 2, 2023, HSS learned that an unauthorized party had gained access to its IT network. The company secured its systems and launched an investigation into the incident. The HHS investigation confirmed that, on March 2, 2023, and starting again on March 30, 2023, the unauthorized actor accessed certain files containing confidential consumer information. Beginning on August 1, 2023, Hospitality Staffing Solutions sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
