August 15 – The HUB International Limited data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The HUB International Limited data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and financial account information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 470,000 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, HUB International Limited reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On January 17, 2023, HUB detected suspicious activity within its computer network. In response, HUB isolated the affected systems and launched an investigation which confirmed that certain systems within its network were accessed by an unauthorized party. It was also determined that some of these files were copied without authorization between December 2022 and January 2023. On August 11, 2023, HUB International Limited sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
