July 18 – The Idea 247 Inc. (d/b/a Idea Financial) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Idea Financial data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers and FICO scores of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 37,000 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Idea Financial reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Idea Financial learned that an unauthorized party was able to access a database that was maintained on the company’s computer network.
The company launched an investigation and determined that the files were accessible to the unauthorized party between April 26, 2023 and May 24, 2023. On July 14, 2023, Idea Financial sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
