August 7 – The Indiana University Health data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent third party cyber security attack at TMG Health, Inc. The Indiana University Health data breach resulted in the names, member identification numbers, effective dates of plans, and banking account and routing numbers of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a notice posted on their website, Indiana University Health reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent third party cyber security attack at TMG Health, Inc. IU Health relies on TMG Health’s service to assist with claims processing. On June 22, 2023, TMG notified IU Health about a data security incident involving TMG’s use of the MOVEit file transfer software developed by Progress Software. TMG Health launched an investigation and confirmed that an unauthorized party downloaded certain files from TMG’s MOVEit server between May 30, 2023 and June 2, 2023. On August 4, 2023, Indiana University Health sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
