September 25 – The Johnson Financial Group data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Johnson Financial Group data breach resulted in the names, email addresses, addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, credit card numbers, and debit card numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 93,000 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Johnson Financial Group reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On May 31, 2023, Progress Software, the creator of MOVEit, announced a critical vulnerability within MOVEit. JFG was notified by one of its vendors that used MOVEit that certain personal information belonging to JFG customers was compromised as a result of the MOVEit vulnerability. On September 22, 2023, Johnson Financial Group sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
