July 3 – The Lansing Community College data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Lansing Community College data breach resulted in the names and Social Security numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 757,832 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Lansing Community College reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On or around March 14, 2023, LCC detected unusual activity within its computer network. The company launched an investigation where they learnt that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to portions of Lansing’s IT network between December 22, 2022 and March 15, 2023. On June 30, 2023, Lansing Community College sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
