What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Vermont, the Local SEIU 1000 data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On January 18, 2024, the union experienced a network disruption prompting an investigation. It was confirmed that certain files on its network were accessed by an unauthorized person. On June 7, 2024, Local SEIU 1000 sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
