September 8 – The Lyon Real Estate data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Lyon Real Estate data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of California, Lyon Real Estate reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On or around May 4, 2023, Lyon detected suspicious activity within its IT network. The company launched an investigation and confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access portions of its IT network on various dates between April 18, 2023 and May 4, 2023. The unauthorized party gained access to Lyon’s systems through a vulnerability in a vendor’s application that was used by Lyon. On September 6, 2023, Lyon Real Estate sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
