August 5 – The MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. It is believed to have impacted as many as 83,000 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On November 5, 2023, MHMR detected a potential data security incident when portions of the organization’s computer system experienced a disruption. The company secured its systems and launched an investigation and confirmed that a number of files on its IT network were subject to unauthorized access. Further investigation revealed that some of these files contained confidential information belonging to patients and employees. On August 1, 2023, MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
