August 23 – The MidFirst Bank data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The MidFirst Bank data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers and financial account information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Texas, MidFirst Bank reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. MidFirst recently learned about a data security incident; however, it is unclear at this point whether the incident affected MidFirst Bank’s IT network or the IT network of one of the bank’s vendors. After learning that sensitive consumer data was accessible to an unauthorized party, MidFirst Bank reviewed the compromised files to determine what information was leaked and which consumers were impacted. On August 22, 2023, MidFirst Bank sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
