August 25 – The Milan Eye Center data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent cyber security attack at iMedicWare. The Milan Eye Center data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, addresses, phone numbers, insurance information and health information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 67,336 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Milan Eye Center reported a data breach after they were affected by a recent cyber security attack at iMedicWare. On December 9, 2023, Milan Eye Center received a message that certain patient data had been compromised. The company immediately launched an investigation and confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access certain historical patient records that were maintained by iMedicWare between May 18, 2020 and July 23, 2020. On August 23, 2023, Milan Eye Center sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
