August 18 – The Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On April 4, 2023, Morris Hospital discovered it had been the victim of a data security incident. The company secured its systems and then launched an investigation into the incident. The Morris Hospital investigation confirmed that, just prior to the incident, there were exports of data to an external cloud storage platform by an unauthorized party. Subsequently, Morris Hospital determined that the files contained confidential information belonging to current and former patients, employees, and employees’ dependents. On August 17, 2023, Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
