August 17 – The M&T Bank data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The M&T Bank data breach resulted in the names and financial account information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, M&T Bank reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The incident involved an electronic breach but did not involve any of M&T’s own computer systems. This could be because the incident occurred at a third-party vendor used by M&T Bank. The Mass AG also notes that 95,261 Massachusetts residents were affected by the incident, which involved their names and financial account information. M&T Bank will send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
