August 4 – The MW Components data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The MW Components data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, health insurance information and medical information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Texas, MW Components reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent ransomware attack. On March 26, 2023, MW Components learned that it was the target of a ransomware attack. The company secured its systems and launched an investigation. MW Components confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access certain files contained on the company’s IT network between March 1, 2023 and March 26, 2023. In late July 2023, MW Components sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
