August 3 – The New England Life Care data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The New England Life Care data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain patients being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 51,854 individuals.
According to a notice posted on their website, New England Life Care reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On May 24, 2023, NELC experienced a network disruption affecting its computer systems. The company secured its systems and launched an investigation confirming that certain files contained on the company’s IT network were accessible to an unauthorized party. It was later determined that some of these files contained confidential patient information. On July 21, 2023, New England Life Care sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
