April 12 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the NorthBay Health data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The NorthBay Health data breach may have resulted in the confidential patient information being compromised.
According to a website notice, the NorthBay Health data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On April 2, 2024, the hospital explained that it was experiencing temporary disruptions to certain IT systems as a result of a cybersecurity incident. NorthBay Health launched an investigation that is still ongoing. Some patients also reported being turned away due to the necessary systems not being up and running. NorthBay Health has not yet commented on whether any patient data was leaked. NorthBay Health will be required to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
