September 18 – The Nuance Communications data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Nuance Communications data breach may have resulted in the Social Security numbers, names, and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to Nuance Communications filing with the Attorney General of Texas, the company reported a data breach resulting from a ransomware attack dating back to May 2023. At this time, Progress Software, the creator of the popular MOVEit file transfer tool announced a day-zero vulnerability within the tool. It later became apparent that a ransomware gang had exploited the vulnerability, stealing vast amounts of data. This included data belonging to Nuance Communications and an associated network of healthcare providers.
