July 7 – The Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and addresses of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the Attorney General of Montana, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On March 13, 2023, Orrick identified suspicious activity within a portion of its computer network, including a file share that Orrick used to store certain client files. The company launched an investigation and determined that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to files containing confidential information from the company’s IT network on March 7, 2023. Orrick explained that the incident affected individuals who are members of a certain vision plan that had retained Orrick’s services related to a 2020 security event. On June 30, 2023, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
