According to a notice posted on the company’s website, Pacific Union College reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent ransomware attack. An article posted by DataBreaches.net stated that the Trigona ransomware group took responsibility for the attack and claimed to have removed 120 GB of data, including employees’ and students’ personal information. This includes names, addresses, dates of birth, full Social Security numbers, criminal history, marital status and more.

Pacific Union College will send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach once this has been determined.
