June 26 – The Palomar Health data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigatin the data breach that was reported after the company was affected by a recent third party cyber security attack at PharMerica Corporation. The Palomar Health data breach resulted in the names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, medications and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised. At this time, it is unclear how many individuals were affected by the breach.
According to the California Attorney General’s Office, Palomar Health reported a data breach after they were affected in a recent cyber security attack. PharMerica provides services to Palomar Health and to perform these services, Palomar provides PharMerica with patient information. On March 13, 2023, PharMerica learned that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to their computer system. It is unclear when PharMerica made Palomar Health aware of the data breach. On June 21, 2023, Palomar Health sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
