August 2 – The Paramedic Billing Services data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Paramedic Billing Services data breach resulted in the names, Social Security numbers, contact information, medical information, health insurance information, driver’s license or state identification numbers, financial account information, payment card information, and dates of birth of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a notice posted on their website, Paramedic Billing Services reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. In May 2023, PBS detected unusual activity within its computer network. The company secured its systems and launched an investigation to learn more about the incident. On June 23, 2023, PBS confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to view and copy certain files on its computer systems between May 15, 2023 and May 23, 2023. PBS later learned that some of these files contained confidential patient information. On July 21, 2023, Paramedic Billing Services sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
