July 17 – The Public Health Management Corporation (“PHMC”) data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Public Health Management Corporation data breach resulted in the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, protected health information, and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights and a notice posted on their website, Public Health Management Corporation reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On May 8, 2023, PHMC learned of suspicious activity within its computer network. The company launched an investigation and determined that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to the organization’s computer network on May 8, 2023, during which they had the ability to access or remove certain files. On July 6, 2023, Public Health Management Corporation sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
