June 29 – The Roosevelt University data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cybersecurity attack. The Roosevelt University data breach resulted in the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license numbers of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted as many as 47,877 individuals.
According to the Attorney General of Maine, Roosevelt University reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On or around May 1, 2023, Roosevelt University detected unusual activity within their computer network prompting them to secure it and launch an investigation. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to gain access to parts of the school’s network on May 1, 2023 where they were able to access confidential information belonging to certain students and prospective students who submitted FAFSA applications. On June 28, 2023, Roosevelt University sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
