On December 18, 2023, the hospital detected unusual activity within its computer network prompting them to secure their systems and launch an investigation. On January 7, 2024, the hospital’s investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access its IT network on December 18, 2023, including files containing confidential patient information. Saint Anthony Hospital will need to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
