Salesforce Data Breach Investigation

October 8 – The Salesforce data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The Salesforce data breach resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised. It is believed to have impacted an unknown number of individuals.

What Happened As A Result Of The Salesforce Data Breach?

Salesforce recently confirmed that a large-scale data security incident affected several of its corporate clients. The breach is believed to have been triggered when cybercriminals stole login tokens linked to third-party integrations such as Salesloft and Drift. These tokens allegedly allowed the hackers to infiltrate certain Salesforce customer accounts and access stored consumer data.

According to independent cybersecurity researchers, a hacker group has taken responsibility for the breach and claims to have stolen more than one billion records from Salesforce-hosted databases.

Although Salesforce maintains that its core platform was not directly compromised, multiple well-known companies—including Cloudflare, Workday, Toast, Palo Alto Networks, and Proofpoint—have confirmed being impacted.

Following the discovery of the incident, organizations began notifying consumers whose information was exposed. Beginning in September 2025, affected individuals started receiving data breach notification letters outlining the types of information that may have been compromised. Depending on the company, this could include names, contact details, customer or loyalty account numbers, and possibly Social Security numbers or other identifiers.
