July 6 – The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C are investigating the data breach that was reported after the company was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department data breach resulted in the names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license or state ID numbers, financial account numbers, medical information, and health insurance information of certain individuals being compromised.
According to a notice posted on their website, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. On or around April 7, 2023, the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department detected unauthorized activity within its computer network. An investigation was launched and is still underway to determine how many individuals were affected. On June 23, 2023, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
