What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Maine, the Security 1st Title data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. The company recently detected a possible data security incident involving unauthorized access to the company’s computer system. Security 1st Title launched an investigation that determined that an unauthorized party had gained access to its computer network, including to certain files containing confidential consumer information. On December 21, 2023, Security 1st Title sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
