What Happened?

According to the Attorney General of Massachusetts, the Sharonview Federal Credit Union data breach was reported after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. Sharonview recently learned that an unauthorized party was able to access an employee’s email account between August 28, 2023 and August 29, 2023. The company secured the email account and launched an investigation confirming the unauthorized party was able to access emails and attachments containing confidential member information. On December 4, 2023, Sharonview Federal Credit Union sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
