September 12 – The Skidmore College data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the data breach that was reported after the Skidmore College was targeted in a recent cyber security attack. According to the Attorney General of Maine, Skidmore College reported a data breach after they were targeted in a recent cyber security attack. This source states that on February 17, 2023, Skidmore was alerted to suspicious activity within its computer systems.
In response, Skidmore secured its systems, notified law enforcement, and then enlisted the help of outside cybersecurity experts to assist with the school’s investigation. Ultimately, this investigation revealed that the breach had compromised people’s names and Social Security numbers.
On September 15th, 2023, Skidmore College sent out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach.
