June 11 – The data breach lawyers at Console & Associates, P.C. are investigating the alleged Snowflake data breach that was reported by several news centers after several large companies have recently experienced attacks. The Snowflake data breach may have resulted in the sensitive information of certain individuals being compromised.

What Happened?

According to recent articles from the Wired and TechCrunch, on May 30, 2024, Snowflake posted a notice on its website that indicated that they “recently observed and are investigating an increase in cyber threat activity targeting some of our customers’ accounts.” An update was released on June 2, 2024, explaining that Snowflake had not “identified evidence suggesting this activity was caused by a vulnerability, misconfiguration, or breach of Snowflake’s platform.”

Snowflake will need to send out data breach letters to those individuals whose information was affected by the breach if they are able to confirm it.

Recently, Ticketmaster, Santander Bank, QuoteWizard and Advance Auto Parts have all allegedly experienced cyber security incidents.
